As a Senior Product Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing payroll operations across the LATAM region (excluding Mexico). You will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with regional tax regulations, and seamless coordination with financial and labor entities. Your expertise in payroll technology, accounting, and compliance will help drive efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.

Your role in a nutshell

As our Senior Product Specialist, you will oversee payroll processing, financial reconciliation, and compliance reporting. You will act as a subject matter expert in LATAM payroll regulations, manage external payroll vendors, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation, calculation, and supervision of payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with LATAM payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  • Perform accounting functions, including income/expense tracking, provisions, and financial statements.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations, supplier accruals, and validation of personal expense vouchers.
  • Manage payroll-related tax returns, including annual federal and deferred taxes.
  • Prepare and process customer invoices, vendor payments, and associated financial records.
  • Provide personalized customer service and address payroll-related queries.
  • Generate risk reports for IMSS, SAT, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Report payroll issues and changes to the Payroll Manager.
  • Manage external payroll vendors and ensure service-level compliance.

Experience and Skills

Expectations:

  • Strong understanding of LATAM payroll regulations (excluding Mexico).
  • Experience handling payroll operations for 200-300 employees.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with labor and financial entities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail to ensure payroll accuracy.

Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing integration projects or initiatives.
  • 5-7 years of experience in LATAM payroll operations.
  • Proficiency in payroll technology and solutions.
  • Experience working with SUA, SAT, and IMSS payroll regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll implementation projects is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (Intermediate level or above).
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute payroll-related programs.
  • Willingness to work from the office at our Puebla, Mexico location.
